Exclamation Lower control arm bolt issues

So I've been trying to get my front lower control arms off of my 95 Z28 and the front bolt is hitting the tie rod ends when I try to pull it out. I've watched a some videos and either they skip that part or it shows they don't have any clearance issues and the bolt pops right out. Now is there a possibility that my rack and pinion has an issue making it sit lower then it should or did I miss a step that no one felt like including in their instructions.

You should be able to gain clearance to remove these bolts by turning the steering wheel (provided the steering shaft is still installed).

Turning the wheel slowly to the right should allow for plenty of room to remove the drivers side bolt. Then turn the wheel to the left to get the passenger.

Take care not to go too far. I'm not sure if anything detrimental can occur, but you shouldn't need more than 1-2 revolutions of the steering wheel.

I hope this helps. Good luck.

well I figured out my tie rods were pretty shot so I ended up just removing them to get the bolts out and just replacing them.
