Default Brake issues

Having some issues with my rear brakes. I bought some new rotors and they don't fit.
I'm thinking the previous owner swapped the brakes for LT1 calipers. Are these LT1 calipers?
My old rotors are 11.5" diameter, new rotors are 12.0".
I want to buy some LS1 calipers and need to know if there is more to it to get the parking brake to work.

Those are definitely lt1 calipers. Unfortunately the parking brake is different from the lt1 to ls1. Could pull the parking brake cables from a lt1 car, or get ls1 calipers and caliper mounts. Check local junkyards.

Any Idea as to why someone would do this? The car is a 1999...

I've got a line on some LS1 backing plates with shoes and some calipers, what else should I need?

I think some people install them to clear 15" wheels.

Either to fit 15 inch wheels for a drag setup, or the diff was from a lt1 car that was cheap because the original one blew up.

(have rotors and pads already)

Thanks for the insights!

Besides the brakes, there is no difference between ls1 and lt1 diffs.

I think all I need now is some SS braided lines, the rear e-brake cables and some diff fluid...

Made some more progress today. Axles came out easy. Had to beat the hell outta one of the old backing plates to get it off.
Just a test fit here. E-brake cables are on their way in the mail. Still need lines and diff fluid.

When they come, I highly recommend coddling them with some rubber nipples: https://ls1tech.com/forums/suspensio...xperiment.html

Thanks for the heads up. The backing plates I bought had new boots on them, I'll keep this in mind though.

I need to order some extended lines for the rear and need to know what size fittings for the caliper side and hard line side to get. I plan on getting them from Kore3.

Is the hardline side M10x1.0 straight male inverted flare?
What size is the banjo fitting? 3/8 (10mm)?

Fronts are done and clear my 17'' wheels (with a spacer)... Thank faaa
