Need help with torque arm!

Need help with torque arm! Anyone have some tips for installing a torque arm? I have the stock 10-bolt axle, a BMR torque arm, and BMR relocation cross member in a 2000 Camaro.
I pushed the forward end all the way up against the tunnel, and the rear mount still won't line up with the axle mount holes. I noticed that the axle rotated forward and up a little when I removed the torque arm. I didn't think it went that far. How do I get it back on? The car is currently up on a 2-post lift, so there is no weight on the wheels. If I lower the car, I won't be able to reach the torque arm or axle. I can't be the first one to deal with this. It looks like a simple job, but it's getting frustrating.
