Put new brakes on the rear of the 1997 Firebird. ALL of the aftermarket rotors I could find were thicker in the hat area leaving inadequate wheel stud length. YES, I know I can just put longer wheel studs in, but I would prefer to find rotors with the OEM thickness in the hat. Does anyone know if they are available? I returned all the aftermarket ones and a local machine shop was able to turn mine but I'd like a couple spares. Thanks

 

I talked to an engineer at Raybestos. He called my original rotors composite rotors and said they may have only been used in 1997.
