Default Brake Bleeder Valves

Greetings,

In the process of trying to change out brake fluid, I found my rear bleeder valves to be so stuck that I have started to strip them. Before I go too far and ruin them, I wanted to order replacements. However, I can’t seem to find specifics on the rear ones. Are they the same as the front? If not, any details on part numbers? I’ve been able to find front valves, but they don’t specify if they fit the rear. Any help is appreciated!

Rockauto lists for the 94 V8 firebird as ACDelco #18K2329 and #19307902. Also indicates they're 10x1.50 thread and front and rear are same.

Thanks for the info. I guess I could’ve helped you out better with my actual car info 😂. Front and rear, says it right there on the label. Not sure why I didn’t see it there before, but thank you again for the assist!!

Do you mean "strip their threads", or "round off their hex", so a wrench won't be able to grab them?

Ah, yes. I started rounding the hex. The threads are fine, but with most things I’m doing with this car, what seems like something easy then turns into a mini project.

You're not alone!!

Once you get the new bleed screws, if you haven't already been able to loosen the old ones, you could try using a pair of "mini" Vise Grips to grip and loosen them, because at that point, you'll have new ones to install.
