Default Used stock shock and lowering.

My Z28 is a 98 and has about 91,000 miles on it. I used to have it lowered a long time ago but raised it back up to stock because it was to low. It was with cheap springs that lowered it 2". That was with stock shocks and I still have them on there. With 91,000 miles on it I'm sure my shocks are wore out. I bought some used ones that have about 10,000 miles on them. Is it worth it to put them on with my new Granatelli spring(not installed yet) that lower it 1.25" or will they wear out to fast Should I get new ones. I only paid $50 total for the used ones so no big loss if I don't use them. If I should get new ones which would you prefer. I don't need top of the line like Hals but a nice shock that will last a while. Thanks

If you have the money right now, get some kind of aftermarket shock and do it right while you have the car apart If not, you can probrably get a few months out of the 10K mile shocks before you start to notice them wear. People seem to be really liking the revalved Bilsteins, KYBs are alittle cheaper I think but I haven't heard much about them.

Where can I get some of the revalved Bilsteins or the KYB's?

I know that Tbyrne and Speed Inc deffinatly carry the revalved SLP/Bilstein shocks. I think I remember seeing them for around $400 a set. I also think Strano sells Bilstiens revalved to Sam's own specs. The KYBs I have only seen at places like Jeg's and Summit, I'm not sure if any of our sponsors sell them. They are pretty cheap so I don't know how they would hold up over time, esspecially with a stiffer spring.
