creaking caliper
Heres the situation... when applying the brakes, the drivers side rear caliper creaks like a dry sway bar bushing. Its a progressive creak, meaning the harder I push, the more it creaks, and the faster/slower I push the faster/slower it creaks...
I took the wheel off, same creak, I loosened the caliper mounting brackets, same creak. I silicone sprayed everything, same creak.
It appears to me like it is coming from inside the caliper housing where the piston is.
Any advice would be great, I dont want to spend 150$ for one new caliper
thanks

lubed everything, no change...
actually took the caliper off the slide hanger, and put the rotor in and hit the brakes.. still the same creak. No parts involved other than caliper, pads, and rotor...
my best guess is something is screwy inside the piston housing, or the caliper itself is flexing and groaning under the piston pressure...
any ideas?
