Default Help with Line Lock

just installed SLP's line lock. I went to the track this past weekend and it didn't hold the brakes while I was doing my burnout.
The instructions say to press the brake and flip the switch to lock the brakes.
Anybody else have this kit ? Do you need to pump the brakes before or after activating the solenoid? I guess I didn't think to try this at the time.

thanks

flip the switch and then press the brake pedal firmly. if it doesn't work after that it's not hooked up right or you may need to bleed the brakes.

From what I've read, you pump the brakes about two or three times, and on the last time, you hold the pedal to the floor and then flip the switch. It sounds like you went through the motions correctly, but your wiring might be suspect. Do you hear the solenoid clicking when you flip the switch? You should...

I have the Hurst linelock, but it should be the same. Hold the brakes down and flip the switch. Then I pump the brakes until I can't any more, 2 or 3 times normally. If I don't pump the brakes the car will move a bit on my burnout.

I wired it according to the instructions and the brakes were bled after the install as well.
There is a harness, 2 wires, which runs from the switch. One wire goes to ground and the other to the solenoid. I used one of the studs on the side of the steering column to ground. I ran the other wire out the passenger side firewall where the main harness exits inside some split loom and piggybacked it to the existing wiring harness that runs along the front behind the fans. Then across to the solenoid.

The instructions didn't specify which terminal on the solenoid to connect the switch wire and power wire to. I'm assuming it dosen't matter?

The only thing I did differently from the instructions was mounting the switch.
I made a small plate to replace the ashtray:

I hope I can explain this well enough...
I can hear the solenoid click on and it does hold the brakes for about a second or two but as soon as the rpm's starting coming up the car starts to roll, just like FastAl said. When the car started rolling out I put my foot on the brake there was alot of pressure.
I will have to try pumping the brakes next time otherwise maybe the brakes need to be bled again ?
Thanks guys.
