Default LG Hypercoils

Okay I am sick of my fenders hitting my tires and slicing them on bumps. So I need a good set of springs that will work for every day driving and with ET streets at the track. I have 17/11 Fikse FM5's so what will be a good spring but not to low and I do not want stock springs because I hate how they ride. Any advice please

The ride problem is not the springs, it's the shocks. You hate whatever shocks you're running, they have a much greater impact on ride than spring rates ever will.. So, I'd buy good shocks (Koni SA's?) and a reasonable spring ("not too low", probably means SLP-Eibachs, not the Eibach pro kit).

Have fun!

I missed that you had Hypercoils (it was in the title). I'd start with shocks and possibly rolling the fenders.

I have Hal QA1 shocks and I have them set on the 4th adjustment from the bottom for the street (I would go stiffer but I dont think I should for daily driving the car, I think they would blow) but the tires will still hit the fenders on the highway and stuff. So I figured I needed to raise the car up a little.

Roll you fenders lips, and never worry again.

I thought you were looking for springs, not that you already had a set. The Eibachs are not "too low", but they are probably similar to the springs you have and they have a lower spring rate. Based on that, I'd not switch springs. As Louis said, roll the fenders a little and you should be fine.

I can run a 335 tire on an FBody in the rear, slammed. No cutting of the tire at all. Simply roll the lip and keep the nice stance.

Cool thanks for the replies. What is the best way to roll the fenders. Hammer and hit them or a dremel and put little cuts in them and then bend them.

Take an exacto knife, and slice the paint about a 3/16" in from the face of the fender. Put masking tape over the cut, and a few more strips covering either side. This weill prevent the flaking that may occur.

Now, rolling them, there are a few ways. The roush roller

Baseball bat and a couple of buddies in the trunk, and walk it back and fourth.

Or a leather hammer and roll it sloftly. You can use a steel ball pien, but thats a little more rough.
