Default Rear V6 springs on a V8???

has anyone done this??? is it a good idea for traction or is there better springs to get?? i want to have a lower look and still get A+ taction. i plan on getting a air bag also for the pass. side. I also thought about cutting a coil off the v6 springs to look a little lower.

Thanks,
Hooper

98+, the rear springs are the same between the v6 and the v8.

I use '95 Camaro V6 rear springs. They're supposed to be softest in the 4th generation family. I also removed the fat rubber bushing which sits on top of the spring and in the upper spring mount. I slipped a short piece of rubber heater hose over first upper coil. Fits into the spring perch perfectly and lowers back of the car approx. 1". If you lower the car in back, I strongly reccomend lca relocation brackets to get pinion angle back in perspective. Good for drag cars w/ auto trans, especially, w/basically stock motored cars. My best 60' times have come w/this combo. WJ

Thumbs up

Yea what he said. I run the 96 V6 springs and i think it helped for weight transfer a lot. Make sure you put that piece of hose on the top, i didnt and i here mine bottom out a lot. It also lowers the rear a little=pic in sig. Goodluck.
