What does a torque arm do when you accelerate?

Default What does a torque arm do when you accelerate?

Does it:
move forward?
backwards?
not move?

when the car squats on take off it moves forward.pretty much when the suspension compresses it moves forward when it extends it moves back hope that helps

I am trying to figure out how much clearance I need under my stock TA for my dual's x pipe.

It "twists". The TA trys to prevent the axel from "spinning" so the part of the arm commented to the axle can move upwarsd, but not much.

So what does an adjustable aftermarket one do for ya? How does it help you accelerate? or does it?
