OK, allow me to share my ignorance, but I have looked, and researched and cannot determine the differences between perches and weight jackers.

Are they one in the same, and also, I see they make several different types of weight jackers. Can anyone help me out here?

Thanks - suspension noob

A perch is what the spring sits on.

A weight jack is an adjustment that allows one to "pre-load" the spring. It can also BE the perch.
