Thanks,

No they will bolt up to the stock location if you lower your ride you will want to get some.

If your car is lowered and you are serious about traction at the track they are.
:)

I am lowered, but not enough to where I need relocation brackets. I have no traction issues.

They are not needed for stock height.

Hi Folks
If you have wheel hop, you need the bracket - I plan on getting one because I have severe wheel hop.

Maybe this info will help those that are not quite sure of the purpose of the relocation brackets. I have seen this topic discussed alot and it seems to bring confusion

At stock height you will notice a considerable amount of improved traction and less wheel-hop though. I installed mine before I lowered the car. It's a huge difference, night and day.

This is a good question. What is the difference between a bolt in style and a weld in only? Who makes the bolt on ones?

~JOSHUA 03-16-2005 09:17 AM

BMR makes bolt in ones.

RedLT4Mike 03-16-2005 12:43 PM

You don't need them to lower the car, they don't affect ride height at all. I installed mine before I lowered and there WAS a noticeable difference in traction. I can't speak for a lowered car without them though. Let me put it this way. Any wheel hop I had before I lowered was totally gone. Going full throttle in first and second gear at high rpms over broken surfaces the ass was completely planted. You can feel the bumps but the tires stay on the ground. It's hard to spin tires now. A very cool and a must mod IMHO and mine are BMR bolt-ins. If you're going to lower, buy Thunder Racings lowering package and some shocks like I did. Do it right.
