Rough Ride every little bump and crack i drive over is felt. on a hard take off from anything other than freshly paved, perfectly smooth road surfaces, i hear and feel a "thump thump thump" and my shifter handle goes crazy, sometimes slamming into my hand. and that doesn't feel too good. Is that wheel hop?? becuz i was told i shouldn't have wheel hop cuz i don't really have the power?? anywyz, will new springs help smooth out my ride?? springs will lower, so then if i had those would i need relocation crap for LCAs, torque arm, ect..?

oh yeah, i don't race at a track either, so i don't need anything especially expensive

I need better handling to beat my cousins 01 mustang gt. he doens't even know what all it has in it, just headers, exhaust, throttle body is whut we know for sure. we know nothing about the suspension though. his car handles waaay better than mine. he can go into and come out of turns fast, where i would spin out. also when he takes off hard, its smooth, unlike mine. His take off "squeeeeeaaalll" My take off "thump thump thump" need help before i go out and buy a ford!

If your shifter handle is going crazy, and you hear what sounds like someone hammering on the floorboard of the car, check your tranny mount.
Shocks will smooth out the ride, to a point. Springs won't.
