Shocks & Springs or something else?
My car is looking at 75,000 miles soon and it feels like it. Over any sort of uneven surface it wants to bounce around and it shudders like mad.
I figure that shocks would be a good place to start. My total budget is around $600.
At first I was thinking something like a shock/spring combo (may SLP's), but I really don't need my car lowered. All I want is a little better handling (more responsiveness and more lateral G stickiness), a more solid (on rails) ride and not to feel like my car is going to fall apart.
Would Bilstein HD's, 1LE Front Sway Bar and SFC's be a better match for me?
Let me know what you guys think.

If you are staying with stock springs, Bilstein HDs would be a good choice. Generally, for front bars...bigger is better. SFCs will help tie the car together really well.
Looks like you have a pretty good plan.

Just found a deal where I can get a 1LE Suspension Kit for $199. It consists of Front & Rear 1LE Shocks, 1LE DeCarbon Shocks (before they switched to Koni's, but still 'better' than the stock DeCarbon's) and the 1LE 32mm hollow sway bar.
All in all it sounds like a screaming deal. Anyone know how the older 1LE DeCarbon's compare to the stock Z28 shocks?

I wouldn't mess with the 1LE stuff. There's a reason they sell it so cheap.
Bilsteins all around and a 35 solid bar up front along with stock or the 1LE springs (if you can find them cheap). This is a proven combo and is very high quality.
You'll be riding like a cadillac along with a much less floppy handling car. The Bilsteins will really help to control the body movement and get rid of the highway floaty fell as well.
