Default Clunking from driver's side front

When I turn to the right and straighten back out I hear a clunk or popping noise from the drivers side front wheel well of my car, I have taken my car to a shop and been told that my upper ball joint needs replacing, would this cause that noise? And how hard is it to replace this? Thanks

Good chance. My K5 Blazer had that problem, well also it had 35" tires, but anyway that is your most likely culprit. If thats not the case maybe check the steering linkage from the wheel to steering box.

How hard is it to replace the ball joint on these cars, and is there anything else I should look at changing while I am doing that?
