Default SFC Questions

I have a few questions about Sub-Frame Connectors:
1. What exactly do they do? (I know that they reinforce, but would like some further clarification.)
2. What kind do you have/ would recommend?
3. How much should I expect to pay for the parts and install?
4. How much improvement could I expect?

Thanks for all your input!

I have a 02 Z28. When I would go down the freeway the car would twist and I'd have to keep adjusting the steering. You know what I mean if you notice it. Added bolt in full boxed diamond SFC's and cured that problem. Also it stopped the problem of having to adjust the steering all the time. I have 28,000 miles on the Z28 and 0 noises in the dash etc... Over time a car with no SFC's will creak and may crack in places. Also doors may not line up quite right etc.. Anywhere you look you will see SFC's are the first mod for the F bodys you should do along with a lid. Cost isn't bad(look around). I picked the bigger and triangle shaped ones instead of the straight ones. Is well worth the safety improvement. No more sudden for no reason steering wheel jumping out of my hand. Mine cost about $200 and install was free(few bolts tightened and done). About a month later I added a STB and no matter what alot of people say They Do Help. It improved my overall steering, combined with the SFC's the car is great the drive now. I had taken the car to the dealer when it had 4,000 miles due to the cars sudden wanting to change lanes etc. We have alot of grooves in the roads here from semi trucks.. Nothing could be found wrong and added the SFC's and STB and 0 problems since and been 21,000 miles. Even checked the bolts and all still tight, even with 1 1/2 years of doing ET CCC drag racing. Most say weld in are better, I like the bolt in to be able to remove if needed. You will not regret it if you get them no matter which ones. I have spectacle solutions diamond sfc's, but I think the guy stopped making them. They are the same as I think Kenny Brown double diamons and SLP diamond sfc's.

I have the KB double diamonds and love them. Big improvement. I would get the weld on kind and not the bolt on ones. The bolt holes will widen and open up after time. Plus you never have to re-tighten the weld on ones. The weld on type is still very cheap to have put on.
