It works, the change of the rear springs is easy. Front springs are a bit of a PITA, so you have to weigh is all the labor worth cutting springs . . . |
What does putting 5/8ths of hose on the rear do? I don't get it... |
so you want have metal on metal contact |
Just get lowering springs cutting springs is stupid |
Dont even bother cutting the springs. If you are going to the effort of removing the stockers, might as well upgrade them while you are in there. Not only will the ride quality suck, but you will also have the infamous 'honda hop'. |

It's gonna ride better w/ lowering springs, but it will ride decent w/ cut springs - depending on how much you cut. |
You do not get the Honda hop if you don't cut too much. You can safely cut 1 coil from the bottom of the front coil and 1.25 coils from the top of the rear coil. I did this and the ride is ok. I will be getting some other springs however as I would like to take the Formula out to TWS sometime. I tried the SLP Eibachs but did not like the combo. B ps: pic in sig does not reflect cut springs. They are the SLP's. |
