Default Monroe or KYB shocks??

I know most of you want to say SAVE YOUR MONEY FOR BLISTEINS HD's However if you had to choose from the two lower quality shocks what would it be? Money is very tight right now. I need to replace the fronts ASAP. I know these crappy shock will not comliment the SFC and STB but one of them will have to do for now.

I have KYB GasAJust shocks on mine, along with Hotchkis springs. They are not the best shocks in the world, but they're also not the worst. They're too soft for performance shocks, but for daily driver shocks, they work fine.

I think they are. I installed them when I put on the Hotchkis springs, so I can't do an apples to apples comparison with the same springs, but the old (and wide) butt-o-meter tells me my ride has improved over stock.

I am pleased with the KYB shocks for the price. I second that they are not stiff enough but if you just crank em up to 8 stiffness you should be in good shape.

The kyb agx work fine for street, autocross and drag strip but qa1 are better for drag strip supposedly but pricey as heck. I hate monroe. Put their shocks on my 80 ta and they advertised full refund if unhappy and they pulled my chain for months when didn't like them. I wouldn't buy anything from them ever again!!
