Default Need some advice on something...

Look at a set of SLP Billstein Struts and WS6 springs for the front...and I'll be keeping the rear shocks stock for a while...how will this be? I assume the WS6 springs are the same height so it won't drop the car at all...

Is this a feasible thing to do or should I just get everything in one shot?

Are you asking about a set of the bilstein shocks? Those are good units. It would be worth it to get the rears also. The stock shocks are just plain junk in comparison.

Basically what I'm asking is am I ok to run them on the fronts for now. I'm not sure the difference between the WS6 and Z28 springs either. Basically I don't want the car to drop in the front and have the rear sticking up.

Sure.
The springs are the same between the 2 cars. Depending on the years involved, SLP offered optional spring packages. If the other car happens to have that, then the ride height might be different. If the new springs look just like yours and are the same black color (not dark blue) then they will be the same.

Thanks

What if they're dark blue? The guy sent me pics of the stuff and the springs are kinda in a shadow so I can't tell the color.

I assume the blue ones will drop the car a bit?

SLP had 2 different spring kits if you ordered them. One set was red powdercoat and the other was dark blue powdercoat. My memory is scruffy on this as it hasn't been talked about in a while. I'm sure someone would correct me if I'm mistaken.

Can you ask the guy if they are painted black or if they are powdercoated? If they came off a 99 or so and later WS6 they should be the same. Those cars were made at the factory. The early WS6's were made by SLP in a seperate shop. SLP made the firehawks in the later years. Please don't quote me on any of this as it's all confusing at the moment.

The springs are black so they're the stockers.
