Ball joint replacement, Help Please!

I was looking underneath my car and felt around one of the lower balljoints and there was lots of grease around it. The rubber might be torn, I will have to take a closer look but my question is do you need a hydraulic press to press in the new balljoints into the lower control arm?

no, you can rent a press from autozone and press it in.. just make sure you have enough clearance underneath so that you can get the press in there and still either turn it with a wrench or use a impact... also you can use a hammer to remove it no biggie.

Thanks man I didnt want to have to take it to a shop, they would charge $200 just for one replacement. I can get one at autozone for $15.

to be honest, after i put all new balljoints on my car and poly bushings...i should have just bought all new 1Le arms that was complete with bushings and ball joints...just my .02
The ball joints (lower) were a real pain in the ****
