Shocks expiriences
i have the eibech with stock shocks (came with the car when i bought it) and it is horrible, rides rough and scrapes on everything. i would personelly say hals would be a good bet
I've had:
Bilstein HD shocks on Eibach Prokit springs, at first I thought GREAT, tons better than stock. The ride was rough though, and after a few years, the ride was REAL rough. The car felt as if I was bottoming out, in the turns it felt VERY boing-boing, like I was bouncing thru a turn...VERY unnerving.
On my 01 SS I currently have Koni DA's shocks all 4 corners, Ground Control height-adjustable spring perch's with 500lb Eibach linear front springs & 150lb Eibach rears...
Car rides fantastic! Extremely responsive, rides in town better than factory, and stiffens up when I puch it hard in turns or high-speed sweepers. I couldn't be happier. The spring rates I have now are stiffer than the Eibach Prokit's and yet it feels much nicer when driving than the factory setup and DEFINITELY better than the HD's & Prokits that I had on my previous 4th-gen.
My suspension mods are catered for corner-carving.
