Default Have a dumb question

We use sway bars to help stop body roll, is there anything that can help stop brake dive and acceleration squat without cranking up the suspension rates?

That in turn got me to wondering, with as badly as these cars dive and squat, it would seem the suspension is rather soft, and there is a fair amount of travel at stock ride height, so... how can they ride so harshly/roughly at the same time? Is it just the villified stock DeCarbon shocks?

In theory it would be possible to change the anti dive/anti squat characteristics of the chassis somewhat. However, it's not easy (you can change the anti squat with a torque arm change, the front is more difficult...unless you find an aftermarket control arm with altered geometry built in). Otherwise, you need to change spring rates/shock damping, etc.

The Decarbons have considerably more compression damping than they really need, this leads to a harsh ride. They are very hard to compress (nearly acting as an auxilary spring), or at least considerably harder to compress than they really need to be (under driving conditions). So, they are a major part of the problem, that's true.

Actually I believe that it's the lower control arm relocation brackets that would change the anti-squat, and the torque arm could be used to change the anti-dive. I can't remember which way would would add anti-dive (I think shortening the torque arm).
If I'm wrong, I'm sure I'll be corrected.
