Parallel with the axle = panhard bar, PHR or APHR all the same bar.

It centers your rear end and helps with lateral g-loads. It WILL NOT make your rear end any stronger.

alright so what exactly does it do give you better handling? and the torque arm just keeps the rear end stable right?

An aftermarket panhard rod will give better performance in handling because it is stronger than the factory stamped steel piece and wont flex. Just like aftermarket lower control arms.

The torque arm is bolted directly to the rear end on one side and it transmits the rearend's power. Just like above, the stock piece is stamped steel and is weak and will flex(robbing power) or in extreme cases bend all up.

The Panhard Rod LATERALLY (side to side) locates the rear axle underneath the car. This is your main asset when combating tire scrub with wider tires. An aftermarket bar is usually stiffer to prevent flex under high cornering loads and allowing scrub.

The Lower Control Arms locate the rear FORE and AFT. Adjusted in differential (seperate from eachother), they can set thrust angle. When adjusted together, they pushe the entire rear end forwards and backwards.

The Torque Arm controls the ROTATION of the axle tube. Acceleration and deceleration both result in torque forces being applied to the axle tube. The torque arm attempts to transfer these forces through the rest of the vehicle and hold the rear end stable.

Hope that helps ya!
