Upper Control Arm Ball Joints

Upper Control Arm Ball Joints So im trying to get the castle nut back on the thing and the nut only goes up a few threads by hand but when i get a wrench, the whole joint turns, not just the castle nut. Is that thing supposed to turn? If not, why is mine and how can I get that castle nut on? Thanks

Edit: When I say the whole join turns, I mean the threaded stud your trying to get the nut on in the first place

Place a piece of 2x4 between the top of the upper A-arm and the body.
Put a floor jack under the lower A-arm and put some weight on the jack, forcing the stud to wedge into the knuckle.
