Default another newb brake question...

A few months ago I bought powerslot slotted rotors, which so far have been amazing. Yet as of recently, my brakes have been making alot of noise. I am guessing its because of the pads (oriely's best pads) but i have also noticed that after i finish braking if i let off and idle at like 3mph, my driver side front brake is still making noise, and therefore i think it is not completely releasing. What are any tips on solving this, as well as tips on which pads to go with. Thanks for the help.

Nathan

Re-grease the guide pins that the caliper slides on, sounds like one may be sticking.

Well, ive actually discovered that the sound is coming from the rear brakes. I have not owned the car for its entire life, so it may be that those pads need to be replaced, but in my experience, when a pad goes bad, it squeals, not groans. It almost sounds like serious rubbing, but there is nothing rubbing while regular driving, so it must be the brakes... Its somewhat puzzling, so i may just have to replace the rear pads, and see if that fixes the problem. Has anyone ever had their rear brakes make a very loud groaning/scraping noise?

Mine and my wife's '00 TA do, have no clue what it is, it's really bad when you turn right at really low speed or on the brakes, from the rear right mostly. Like a moan/groan noise. I still need to check it out, it's annoying as hell!!

yeah that sounds similar to mine, but mine is coming from both wheels it seems, and it wont make the noise unless im braking, although a slight scraping sound does linger until i hit about 10mph after i let off the brakes in some instances.

You might check the rotor to PAB clearance. The rear axles have some play in them and when you corner the rotor can touch the PAB and make a squeel.
