feels like a bucket The 02 SS with 45K miles feels like a bucket. Suspension untouched except for torque arm. I have BMR SFC's welded in. I have a shock tower brace.
Do you think I just need new shocks?
Or is it normal for canadian assembled cars to turn into a bucket of bolts after 40K miles?

Well, they are all canadian assembled.
They pretty much suck handling wise right off the showroom floor. Better shocks will make a big difference. The ride will smooth out, the body movements will slow down and the car will feel a lot better.
Look into the Bilstein shocks. Strano has the set for $329. This is about the minimum shock you should look at.
