Default Shock swap

New owner of a 98 Z-28. Putting new shocks on tomorrow. Any hints, tips, or how-to suggestions greatly appreciated!

The rears are very easy. However the front can give you problems. Did you get new strut mounts? How many miles are on your car?

Just shocks, didn't get new mounts. The car has 86k and (I'm assuming) all original suspension.
Subframe connectors are next on my wish list.

YOu may have trouble with the mounts up front. Most people including myself had to destroy the mount and strut to get them out. They tend to rust and the bolts snap. I would recommend getting new strut mounts as well. And you will need a spring compressor for the front. Rear are a snap. LS1 howto has a writeup on it.

Uno
Thanks for the howto link. I'll go ahead and get some new mounts. A friend has a spring compressor he'll hopefully let me borrow.

Be careful when removing the swaybar endlinks I broke mine and had to wait for a replacement.
