Default Brake problems! Need to bleed? help!

Well in my 2000 SS my brakes have always been awesome with slotted rotors and bosch ceramics.. and after i got my ford 9" rear end swap.. my brakes started slipping a lot! like it would almost make me fly off the road! I Notice it a lot more with my skinnies on(because i almost hit the wall at the track).. because i am guessing its harder on the brakes..

But now i have pulled the 9" and put a stocker back in.. and its doing it again..

Do you think I need to bleed my brakes? It seems like i possibly have air in my lines or something? It just feels like when i push the brakes the car goes all over and feels like the ABS is engaging by barely pressing the brakes.. and its only when i go 60+ mph.. Air in the lines is all i can think of?

Someone help me out before i crash my damn car haha.. my car also has 65,000 mile son it with stock fluid.. that i'm sure has been abused!

Thanks!

65K and original fluid?

Bleed the system and replace the fluid with new fluid.
Use a better fluid while you are at it.
Some recommend ATE Super Blue.
Do a Search for "Bleed Brakes" and you'll find plenty of info on fluids and procedures.

I dont know if thats your only problem, but it should help.

Also, it makes perfect sense that braking distances are increased when you are using front skinnies. This is due to their decreased contact patch on the road.

I too, think it could be possable something else.

May want to take a look at the suspension and bolts.

I think i figured it out but i'm not 100% sure.. It only seemed to be doing it on one side and it would feel like my ABS was engaging.. and pull to the left.. So i think its my ABS sensor in my left front wheel? Would that make sense to you guys?

I pulled 3 ABS fuses to check it out.. and it seemed to be better but i have to double check for sure tomorrow..

But which ABS fuses really need to be out? I pulled all 3.. 2 big ones and a small 25..

Thanks guys!

If you have a pull,
It could be a few things..
* Bad ABS Wheel Sensor
* Sticking Caliper (which can lead to increased/uneven rotor/pad wear)
* Damaged line (on the opposite side)
* Something Else....?

The sticking caliper is usually from a frozen sliding pin or damaged piston but could also be from something else.

well i pulled the ABS fuses.. and it seems like it quit doing it now! so i'm guessing its the ABD sensor on my driver side.. My next brake change though i am double checking my sliding pin.. and i am bleeding my brakes.. and fixing the ABS sensor.. So that should take care of everything! Thanks guys

Glad i figured it out.. i musta hit the sensor during my brake job or something..
Thanks
