Default Chassis/suspension mods?

First of all, have any of you fellas used the Hotchkis(sp?) subframe connectors? Are they weld in or bolt in?

Second, I plan on using the Eibach lowering kit from the Jeg's catalog...it comes with KYB shocks, eibach springs, front and rear sway bars and all the bushings. Will the above items(including subframe connectors) and a strut tower brace help handling and stability?

Any hints/suggestions in this area would be great........or if you have suggestions of better parts....

Thanks

Do yourself a favor and call around.... KYB's and Eibach's aren't the best matching shocks/springs, not to mention *which* KYB's (there are 3) and which Eibach's (way more than one set) you are looking at. Same with swaybars... Which ones, and are they appropriate for the use.

This is what I do all day, every day. I also sell KYB, Eibach and Hotchkis, among many others. I could say "it's great"... and it'd be a sales pitch. I don't know your requirements or what you know about suspension until we (or any customer) speak and discuss it. Jegs sure can't either, and you won't be talking to someone who acutally competes and wins in 4th gen f-bodies like you do here. And note that I do what is needed for *YOUR* use. I do race and learn much from it about suspensions, but a full race deal isn't necessarily what you want on the street.

Yeah, I know what you mean about Jeg's.......I used to work there

It is a daily driver......I want it dropped enough to use up some of the gap with the stock wheels. It has t's so I want a good sturdy ride.....no flex. I'm a firm believer in making everything solid before adding a bunch of HP. I'd rather have chassis/suspension that can handle high hp than have something brake.....

Which shocks/springs would be the best combo?

Are hotchkis parts over priced or worth the money?

A lot of Hotchkis stuff is overpriced or otherwise not desireable. Some of it is pretty good. I think if you look around and ask Trackbird (since you might know him, he knows me and has seen what changes can be effected with certain products) about somethings. Or feel free to give me a call. I'll probably tell you *MORE* than you even wanted to know, and be able to make some recommendations when I have more information.

I'm not going to tell you that X, Y and Z are the ONLY way to go with anything. I'm not really like that. I will however tell you X and Y might be better than Z in a particular case. There are a lot of parts you could use.... You want to use the correct ones for the job and that's not something you want to do by e-mail (because you can't).
