Alright....looks like im going to need new suspension...and while i was at it, i was going to get everything new. So my question is this.

Whats the top part called that bolts into the fender. it has 4 bolts, and it holds on the springs and shocks.

On top of this upper shock mount there is a nut in an indentation that tends to trap water and get rusted on. Sometimes it happens, sometimes it doesn't. When you put it back together, be sure to fill this area up with some thick grease or RTV sealer.

Not so simple..... You'd need to buy more than just that part. You need springs (aftermarket or OEM replacement). If you go to a any type of Bilstein shock you'll need to also buy new dust boots and bumpstops as you reuse the OEM stuff on those shocks. And you'll also need the plastic mounts that the springs sit on which in turn sit on the spring perch itself. That'll add up, and fast.

Better to just use an impact gun and snap off the old shock rod/nut so you can re-use the stuff you need to reuse. It'll be a lot cheaper for you.
