Default Strut removal problem

I am replacing my motor and am doing the front springs and shocks.

I have a problem on the passenger side. The nut seems to be so corroded that I can't even really see where it is, much less get a wrench or socket on it. I went to the dealership and they want like $250 for all the "other" **** required to mount the springs and struts so I passed until I could get a suggestion from the boards. I am not sure how to tackle this.

Suggestions PLEASE!!!!

Good for you. A sawzall and cutting the shock shaft is something I have had to do more than once.

I now lather up the top of that nut with heavy grease when I reassemble.
