Default Control Arms?

Well, I've wound up with a set of Edelbrock Boxed LCA's, and a set of BMR Tubular LCA's...

Which one is a better choice?

Thanks,

-Will

Boxed/rectangular cross-section = overbuilt and too heavy.

Thanks, if thats the case, then I'll put the BMR's on and sell the Edelbrocks to a friend in need of something better than stock

You'll hate my 2 cents on this, however you might eventually find it worth more than 2 cents.

Beware of the poly bushings that will be great for straightline performance (great with drag racing) and poor with cornering (AX, RR, and daily driving corner carving).

http://www.geocities.com/MotorCity/1701/bushings.htm

Also, if you perform a search around here, you'll see from some of those members who corner carve (AX and RR) how much trouble they had from all of the bind and stiction from poly bushings.

When I had my steel tubular poly bushed trailing arms installed, my cornering abilities were reduced with all of the binding present. After I returned to stock trailing arms (not that weak as many purport, believe it, or not) and changed the bushings to Moog rubber bushings (higher durometer from stock), an noticable improvement was made. That fact alone made me realise why they did the same thing in the 4th gen 1LE.

Eventually I discovered a different option, which was to construct my own aluminium arms, which really ended up much more beneficial than opting for heavy and overpriced aftermarket trailing arms and the effort and cost invovled was easy and well worth the time (not hard at all and no need for a bunch of grease to keep them constantly lubed plus they're pretty strong despite what critics point out).

In any case, I'll wait for you to say you consider them before going into details, or wait for someone else who'd like to post the info on them.

Gotcha, coming right up. Be advised that I am not making them, but rather dispensing the "recipe." I'm pretty sure that this recipe is easier than making Mac n' cheese (probably a lot cleaner too). Look for a PM.
