Default Whats the difference in confort ?

I m getting ready to install my bilstein HDs on stock spring
I was wondering how much of a difference i would make if I had gone with the slp bilstein/pro kit as far as confortable ride on bad road , which is what I have here everywhere.

I m sure it would look and probably handle better but I m more wondering about a confortable, anybody experienced both setup?

thanks

I've heard HDs are a great OEM replacement. Should ride good.

Well, you have shocks built to run with stock springs. You are wondering if the ride would worse if you went with a lowering spring that has less travel, higher rates, and teamed them with SLP's shocks which are not valved for the Pro-kit parameters.... Um, oh yeah.

Car will handle much better with the stock springs and Bilstein's. Not the ultimate but HUGELY better than the stock shocks. If you want more body roll control, that's easily done with some different swaybars later. Try what you have first so you can assess it, then if you want to go further you have a much better idea what you want to alter.

thx Sam for steppin in with good advices.

I think the only thing I m thinking about is the 4 by 4 look when goign with bigger wheels tires, but again all Im thinking about is some 17inch so many it wont be that bad loooking

also I m sure bigger sway bar will also a lot, I would have gave you a call and grabe some but budget of a college student is not very friendly with modding my TA

anyway, thanks for the advice I guess I just needed confirmation that bilstein was the best suited to my need and budget

thank, Have a good one

just out of curiosity,
is there a break in period right after installing the shocks, like they would feel stiffer until they break in ?

thanks guys

When first installed they will be a little firmer just due to seal friction, new oil, new bushings and so on. However, the change you'll see with quality shocks is usually quite small and not noticed by most folks.
