Default Grinding calipers....

I know this has been asked many times but the search is f'd right now so I need some help. I grinded the **** out the calipers last night and the wheel still doesnt even turn an inch. I know someone posted a link to a site that helped out on where to grind the most and whatnot. Any help appreciated.....

Sounds like you just have to do more grinding. I can't remember the link with the pics, but I 'think' GM Muscle may have posted the pics of the calipers. Edit: You'll have to grind down moret than you think to get them to work.

You need to grind, then when you think you have it right, grind more...you need ~.100" clearance at any given point.

Our Bogart wheels may not be in your budget or not a consideration at this point for you since you already purchased your wheels...for others...besides the fact our wheels are ~30% lighter, they fit and we build them for the car not one size fits most...they are worth every penny!

I hope you get your situation resolved...you can always go to a larger spacer if need be.

I grinded mine until the "Pockets" shown on the front were pretty much totally gone.

Here ya go. I found the ones I was talking about. I had to grind more than this to fit mine though. My 'pockets' were long gone by the time I got done.

Carrot just left my house and we were grinding like crazy. Wait! That doesn't sound good! Anyway, we grinded way passed the pockets but we still didn't finish. He's going to try a thicker spacer but he can't go too thick because he has the stock length studs. That doesn't sound good either! lol I'm thinking the thicker spacer should do it. Worked on mine. But thanks for everyone's help and I'm sure Carrot thanks you too.

Stock studs, whether he is using a spacer or not are too short!

Weld prostars have a very wide stud-through area which requires very long studs be used...preferably 3" studs.
