Could This Be The Cause Of...? I have this squeaking comming from my left rear brake and it is getting so annoying!! Its squeaks when I brake and when Im just driving around. Its embarrasing to. Im wondering if this could be my handbrake, because it is really loose. I have to pull it up all the way and even then I can push the car when its not in gear. If its not this, what could it be? Thanks!

When was the last time you changed pads/had your rotors turned? Could be the wear indicator letting you know it's time. Or it could be one of your chatter plates isn't seated right.

I dont know when the last time they were changed. When I bought the car in June 2005, I know the front pads were new but Im not sure about the rears. It does sound like it could be the wear playe and new pads are in order. I probably should have changed them before I posted. Thanks!!
dude i bought my SS back in june of 05 also and my rear brakes were doin that also!!! damn hella anooying and embarassing too!!!! but i took it to a tire shop here in modesto and after they just looked at them and took my tires off i never heard it again and now i have new rotors, pads and calipers and no noise whatsoever!!!! good luck dude
thanks man... and yeah it is the most annoying thing to drive a nice/fast car, and be squeeking like a little fairy down the road. I hate it! did they change the pads when they took your wheels off?
