Default anybody have this problem?

I have an 01 ws6 all stock suspension with about 40 k on the clock.I was looking at the back of the car today and noticed the right side looked lower than the left in the rear.I measured it and it is aboutr an inch lower.could this be a blown shock. If so it gives me an excuse to go ahead and lower it.any suggestions on setups?I dont want to go lower than 1.5 due to header and y-pipe clearance.thanks for your suggestions.

as far as i knew the springs hold the car up, the shocks do the dampening, sounds like either the spring is failing or maybe the rubber isolator is missing. jack the rear end up and put stands under the lca's body mounts to let the rear hand down and look up into the springs areas.

I have a 99, the right rear has always been about 1 inch lower than the left rear and left front about 1 inch higher than the right front.
The dealer replaced all of the springs under warrenty when it was new and still the same problem.
They called the tech line and they told them to add a rubber spacer under the spring to straighten it out I didn't have them install it.
I have about 20,000 mi on it now and never had any handling or other suspension related problems, only the wierd stance.
Bought the car new, no accidents.

my 99 TA sites about 1/4 inch lower (on the driver side) i think. Cant totally remember which side to be honest. My buddies firebird has the same 1/4 inch problem. An inch seems a little to much to me. oh yeah my car has 35k on it so the suspension isnt old.
