Shock Problem.
Hey guys, I installed Bilstein HD's with stock springs about 2 weeks ago. My problem is the passenger side shock rod is hitting the underside of the shock tower when I hit a bump or drive on a really rough road. I have had this shock off the car 4 times now, taken the spring off and reinstalled. Still no good. Has anybody else had this problem, and how did you fix it. I just ordered new front springs, maybe that is the problem.Thanks.

Does it sound like a "rattle" over rough areas of the road? If it does, in which case I have had happen to me on two different fbodys after a shock and spring swap, my problem was the nut on top of the strut that attaches to the upper a-arm. Pretty much tightened the sheiat out of it to get rid of the rattle. Make sure the plastic guard over the rod is also tight and not giving you a noise. Hope this helps

That sounds like the problem I have as far as noise. The problem I have is that the top of the shock rod is hitting the bottom of the shock tower. that why a believe that my front springs are bad. That and after the swap my car still handles like a boat.
