Relocation brackets???
Relocation brackets??? I have wheel hop like everyone else so i bought a set of BMR LCA's which I'm about to install. I heard of relocation brackets, what are they for? I was under the impression that they were for lowered cars which mine is not, so I will not need them.... right?
It won't hurt to go ahead and install them. In fact I would. It will help your wheel hop problem. They are made to set your LCA's back parallel with the ground after lowering. When you lower your car they will be at a upward angle causing wheelhop. Since your not lowered your LCA's will be at a downward angle with them installed. You have to think though when you accelerate the car will sit down in the back causing the LCA's to level out. The ulitmate fix for wheelhop is aTorq Arm, but LCA relo brackets work wonders.
On the downside, installing relocation brackets on a car that hasn't been lowered will reduce the handling quality. As you go around corners at speed, your rear will tend to slide out easier (my experience).
