Caliper Bracket Issues

Caliper Bracket Issues How many of you guys had any issue when replacing your calipers or just noticed in general that the caliper bracket that holds the pads get frozen up? I just had to replace both of the front bracket because they froze up and then broke trying to turn them out.
I don't know if there is a better way to seal up that rubber boot up or if there is a special grease I should use to fix the problem.

I presume you're referring to the caliper guide pins being seized. They sorta look like big bolts without threads with a rubber seal on the head. I've had seized pins a couple of times, once requiring replacement of the mounting bracket because it wouldn't come out.
I spray the pins off really well with brake cleaner, and do the best I can to spray the inside of the pin tube as well. Once it's basically dry, I put the seal back on and apply synthetic brake caliper grease to the entire length of the pin, insert it and give it a few twists and sliding movements to insure everythings coated - and to get any remaining fluid out of the tube.
I've used both CRC and Permatex brands. The CRC lasted at least a year, and a few weeks ago I re-lubed everything with green Permatex (forgetting I had CRC still on the shelf). The wheels were absolutely wicked hot after the next event, but the Permatex doesn't appeared to have faltered.
