are aftermarket ta lighter than oem?

Spohn tunnel mounted one I had weighed 2 or 3 times what the stocker weighed.

yeah, aftermarket TA's are def heavier than factory. The factory piece is so thin and brittle its amazing it even holds up at all.

lighter is not always better

What do you intend to do that you'll need an aftermarket torque arm? For my apps, they're very necessary, but for the functional lowering lengths that many do to their "non-competition" daily driver cars with barely anything over 400rwhp, it's way overkill.

When they are necessary, it's better to tolerate the added weight, especially when the stiffness and strength do pay off when it comes to ensuring that power is properly put to the ground. Adjustibility helps a whole lot, however at the height I'm running, my fixed TA will suffice.

well i was going to change my transmission mount and while i was in there change over to the umi crossover relocation mount. if there was a lighter piece out there id run it. if not ill stay with stock. im still deciding rather to rip off the aftermarket ground effects and drop the car or stick with them at oem ride height.
