Alignment Question
I've started autocrossing this year, and have so far done three of them. Over those three events I've been eating the outside edge of my front tires. I realize that there will be more wear on the tires racing than normal driving of course, but how quickly the tires are wearing leads me to think an alignment adjustment might not be a bad idea. Those of you who autocross/road race a lot, do you have your alignment adjusted from the stock specs, and if so what is adjusted?

I'm running -1.7 degrees of camber (Global west arms), 5.1 castor and 1/32" of toe out. If you are at stock ride height, I'd shoot for maximum negative camber (probably between -.7 and -1 degree), 4.5 castor and 0 toe or 1/32" toe out. That will make the car more responsive and tire wear on the street will still be very good and tire wear while autocrossing will be at least slightly better, maybe even reasonably better.
What tires are you running?

The alignment is not the only reason you are wearing the outer edges of your fronts...........you need to pump your front tires up to max to prevent them from rolling over.........the rears don't need as much as the front however they need more than what you normally run on the street.

The tires I had on the front were Eagle F1's, I just put some KDW tires on the front to replace them. I air my fronts up to 38psi cold when I start, and they then warm to ~42 after runs. The max pressure rating is 44, but I don't know if that is cold or warm?
I haven't gotten around to marking the tire with polish to see how far it's rolling over.
