Default Brake sensor Question

I let a "friend" use my car for a special occasion, when it came back the brake, tcs off, and ABS inop lights would come on and off when hitting a bump..I looked under the rear end and found that the black and white wires that were going to the abs sensor on the passage side were Simi cut from the exhaust. Not sure how it happened, but I cut the wires and soldered them back together black to black and white to white and now all 3 lights are staying on. Did I mess up the sensor by the soldering the wires, because of the heat or did it mess up because they might have crossed and shorted out? Is it even the ABS sensor. This is a 4 channel rear end with traction control. Thanks Josh

I would try and see if pulling the fuses and reinstalling them, might reset the abs unit. The fault might be latched. Like you say when the melted the might have shorted something out. Hope that is not the case.
