Car is back together.....Something WRONG
The back end we though was sitting alittle high but i think it's fine.
I have stock springs all around Koni SA, boxed in LCA's, DA panhard rod, umi adj torque arm stock rear. But like I said rear is fine.
The front consists of stock k member and Upper & Lower arms but with poly bushings from thunder recing. I dunno if that was a good idea. I thought that may have something to do with it sitting high possibly. When we assembled the K-member and control arms we tightened to spec then put them on the motor. I didnt think it had to be under load.
Another thing, we stabbed the motor in yesterday and the collector (where it bolts up to the y-pipe) is barely touching the floor plan. It's like the motor needs to be tilted back some to angle the headers down more. There is no way to even bolt the drivers side y-pipe on because of the Trans Crossmember. I need about 2 more inches of clearance.
I also have poly motor mounts and trans mounts
I have the rear shocks set on full soft but cant get to the front shocks so I dont know what they are at.
The only thing i can think to do is re-tighten the control arm to k member bolts while under load and see what happens.
And I even have the upper perch removed so that should be about 1/2" drop. But it still sits higher than the rear.
Please help
thanks
Sounds like you just installed something wrong...might have to take things back apart/get it on a rack and examine it....
or did you have it done?
The car hasn't moved in a year. It's had the engine in and out. The shocks, bars and bushings were all done and the car set on the ground. ALL cars sit very high in the nose when they are just let down without all those changes. Here, we have many changes, and the Koni's aren't set on the lower perch either. But until the car moves under power and he hits the brakes, it will sit high in front.
Everything, I assure you, is completely normal.
