Default Adjustable lower control arm question

i have adjustable ones on the way, the question is:
Does adjusting them maybe a 1/4 in longer than stock effect anything other than maybe pinion angle? I have an adj. torque arm so i reset it back at -2 if it does change.
Only reason i want to lengthen them is bc my tires sit more forward in the wheel well, and even 255/50/16 bf drag radials rub sometimes. and now that i have a set of Bf Goodrich 275/50/16(yes that's right) tires on the rear, they rub horribly.
Thanks

Default

Shouldn't effect anything else, you're right about using them to recenter the rear in the wheelwell for wheels that don't fit.
