torque arm???

Aight I'm certainly not new to the fbody world. I've had a couple of cars but this one is puzzling me. So i put the (stock) torque arm on my new six speed on my new car. Bolt it all up and stuff and every time I shift down a gear and sometimes up it clunks... I put a different bolt in the top part of the TA bracket on the transmission because it seemed to be a bit loose. Take it back out and it still clunks (tranny mount isn't broken). Could my TA mount be bad/old or what?

Double check the tranny mount. Check the TA mount to make sure the rubber is all intact. Make sure it's not something else clunking--like your Y-pipe.
