Burnout question

Burnout question I'm pretty new at this stuff, so if this is a stupid question, just bare with me. I street race everyweekend, and I have Nitto DR's. Should I do like a big 10 sec burnout before I head out to the local hghwy to heat up the tires, then do like small 1-2 sec burnouts before each race to clean them? I guess, my question is how long do these Nittos stay hot? Do they cool down right away so I'd have to do a big burnout before each race, or will a small one do? Thx.

Re: Burnout question They don't stay hot for long, I would suggest burning out RIGHT BEFORE you race... <img border="0" title="" alt="[Smile]" src="gr_stretch.gif" /> Do like a 5-6 second burnout, that should be good enough

Re: Burnout question Nitto's are a harder compound than the bfgdr but they will last alot longer you do need a good burnout 10 sec or so should be fine air pressure is key to on my bfgdrs I run 18psi not to sure on the nittos. In street racing vht is also a big help and line up as if you were going to race and do your burnout right at the line and back up on the tracks you just made hot rubber sticks to hot rubber better than hot rubber and cold asphalt.
