Default Springs - The final frontier!

I have a 2002 WS6.
I've replaced my bushings all the way around with prothane and have change to the 1LE bar in the rear. 1LE bar in front is standard. The car is pretty balanced now and I can adjust handling with air presure changes in the tires so I'm very happy with my set up.
Now the only part lacking is spring rate. I can go deep into a corner fast and as long as I don't apply brakes, the car stays nice and flat (neutral), but one tap on the brakes and the stock shocks and srings are overloaded and I experience heavy nose plow. So I'm going to change shocks and springs.
Now the trick. I don't want to go anymore than 1" lower than stock for ground clearence issues. And the 1LE springs raise the height of the car. So I'm thinking of going with a linear rate spring from H&R or Hypercoil made for Lt1's. I figure the drop should be less and I will still get the higher spring rate I'm after.
Anyone with experience with useing LT1 springs on an LS1? How much of a drop did you see?
