Default Where to start with suspension mods

I am considering doing some suspension mods on my 2000 Z28. I was wondering where I should start, the car is only used for daily driving, so eliminating wheel hop while drag racing and things like that is not an issue. I really just want better handling around town and to tighten the car up a little. Also does anybody have pictures of a lowered Z28 with the stock 16x8 5 spoke rims (1998-2000). I was thinking about lowering it an inch or so, but I don't know what it will look like with the stock rims.

srh, I'd go with some SFC's to start. The SFC's will tighten the whole car up and allow the suspension to do it's job as it was intended. If you're planning to drop the car, you're going to want to invest in some relocation brackets, and an adjustable panhard bar at the least. The APHR will keep the axle centered after the drop and the relocation brackets will keep wheelhop from occuring. Definitely invest in shocks when you lower as well. You might find out at 130mph (like me) that shocks will help keep the car as steady as it was before the drop.

I'm one of those that says that an STB only will yield results if oon R compound tires and a prepped track.

Other's say they can feel the difference. :dunno:

If it's a street car and you want improved handling without sacrificing ride quality, look at a 1LE set-up though-out ...

How about the 1LE setup?? Cost?? Compared to the LG springs, biltstiens,SFC, etc...???
I would assume that you could purchase it directly from GM? What do you say?? Thanks, Am considering this mod myself.

For spirited street driving I'd go with the 1LE also with a decent tire. You should be able to get everything for the 1LE package from any dealer. After that maybe SFC for a little stiffening of the frame

How much difference does a strut tower brace make? I have heard some that they work well, and others say that they only really shine on the track. Do Camaro's have problem with camber after being lowered, or do the lower control arm brackets adjust for this?
