Need help ASAP!
Need help ASAP! k now im trying to set the pinion angle for my torque arm and when im looking at it im on the driver side of the car and lookin at the angle finder head on, the car is level in the air, now the angle finder reads at 6* to the left of 0* for the pinion and driveshaft angle, now if this equaling zero pinion angle using their formula of: driveshaft angle - pinion angle= total pinion angle?
The method you are trying is suppose to give you for the DS a positive number(on the left of the "0") and the pinion should be negative(on the right od the "0").You should have something like -1 or -2 for the street.
Example:
DS :+1
TA:-1 OR 0
=-2 or -1
But also a lot of guy are saying that this method is wrong and you should measure the angle of the output shaft of the tranny and adjust the pinion angle from this measure.

Pay attention to adjust it the best that you can,because it can cause vibration/noise at high speed if the pinion angle is not adjsut correctly.
I ve tried the 2 method but i still got problem with this adjustement.

the measurements read 6* to the left of zero for the driveshaft angle and 6* to the left of zero for the angle of the pinion, so with these two measurements would it give me zero total pinion angle or do i have some serious readjusting to do?
